- Understand your “Why?
Some businesses hold conferences because they feel they ‘have to’ without first exploring ‘why?’. At Eventcomms Agency, we like to make sure we understand your “why?” before beginning a project. This way, we can create the best experience for you and your participants.
With Danfoss, we got to the bottom of their pain points – where did they need their business to go and what did success look like for them?
With over 40,000 employees, Danfoss has team members all around the world, and we saw the need for these segmented teams to come together. This immediately influenced how we designed the room. With our scenic and production partners, Get Visual, we conceptualised a campfire theme – no flashy LED screens, and no massive ballrooms, just a simple setup, bringing people together in a nostalgic way.
- Think outside the box!
While breakout rooms can be extremely effective for creativity, problem-solving and collaboration, let’s face it, sometimes they are incredibly boring.
Supporting Danfoss’ three key growth areas and avoiding “death by Powerpoint”, we empowered each breakout owner to create something MAGIC! By allocating a reasonable budget, we saw these breakouts truly come to life. We infused high-energy music, lighting, and “old-school” formats so these workshops became energetic, elevated experiences for everyone involved.
- Make team events memorable.
Initially, we were briefed on organising a treasure hunt in Lisbon, but we knew we could produce something more impactful. Something that would leave a lasting impact on all the participants. After much brainstorming, the ‘Music Collaboration Challenge’ was born.
14 teams, 3 song choices, 1 lip-syncing video, and a live vote for the winner at the closing dinner. This was a truly outstanding activity and one we hope we can recreate with future corporate clients.
